Possible Plots for my graphic story

Deportation

Story of when my Grandmother was growing up during the 2nd world war.

Was only a child when they were forced to flee away from their current home in Germany.

They were forced into a train, not knowing their destination until they would arrive.

Possible destinations were Russia, where they'd likely die of starvation or weather conditions, or a part of Germany which is now in the Czech Republic.

They were only allowed one suitcase/box for all of their belongings.

Taken Captive by the French

My great-grandfather was a soldier during the second world war.

Was fighting against Russia when he was injured.

Sent back to Germany to recover.

Once he was fit again, he was sent to the west front to fight against France.

Was taken captive by the French for 3 years.

Released after due to the war being over.

Apparently he always used to go on about how glad he was to have been taken captive by the French, as he was provided with the best food (bread and potato). If taken by Russians, he likely wouldn't have survived.

Growing up in Hitler Germany

Focusing on my grandfather, who was born in 1942.

depicting and sharing what it was like to grow up in Nazi Germany

his father wasn't a soldier but worked for Porsche, building lorries for the war

-> didn't have to be a soldier, yet Germans were still forced to be involved in the war one way or another. Highlights Hitler’s vision to create a greater German Reich, with the aim of leading the world government through making everyone take part / being able to give out jobs again.
