Work-in-Progress Exhibition

After we had our feedback on padlet, we had an in-person work-in-progress exhibition. This allowed us to see all the work laid out in front of us and was easier to comment on rather than seeing it online.

This was the feedback I received:

The main comments were:

  • Colour palette & choice of shapes is beautiful - try to look into different type fonts & colour for type

  • The abstraction is really effective - it's vibrant but still has space to breathe

  • Very bold and futurist view - maybe work on the font and scale, think of composition

  • Strong colour palette and the abstract figures work really well. I would continue to experiment on your fonts and the readability of the words - could be bolder.

  • Immediately know which book you chose without reading the title. It's colourful and vivid just like the 12 stories in the book. It's abstract and seems to represent not one character but many and makes it easier for readers to relate to it. Also being abstract helps incorporate the "Other" well. I would maybe make the title bolder to make it stand out. Also, consider adding something on the left side of the back cover as it feels a little empty, especially compared to the vividness of the front
